Generations of Faith is a diverse multi-generational faith formation process
which is highly participatory. As its roots are set within a parish community,
it calls existing ministries into a deeper partnership while working together
to build up the Kingdom of God. As we have all heard many times our conversion
experience is a continual journey. It has an infinite nature with no end point,
not eighth grade, high school, college, during our active family years or retirement.
All of these events may serve as regroup points but never the end point, as
God continues to call us to conversion throughout our life cycle. When we open
our hearts to this experience, we acknowledge our church is truly an intergenerational
community of Catholic Christians hoping to fulfill our roles as active followers
of Christ.
There are three main events scheduled throughout the year: mid October, Advent/Christmas,
and Lent/Easter. The themes selected follow the liturgical seasons. The Core
team meets weekly to develop the theme and plan the event. All existing ministries
are invited to participate as the intent is not to replace existing ministries
but rather to create a faith formation resource which unifies our efforts as
we strive to fulfill our role as the Body of Christ.
At Generations of Faith you are invited to join us and become part of the seamless
garment, sharing the gifts God has graced you with. Your faith experience is
important to us and we all have much to learn from each other.
